Premium Extrusion Alloy for Architectural and Decorative Applications
6063 T6 aluminum is a magnesium and silicon alloy known for its excellent surface finish, high corrosion resistance, and superior anodizing performance. Strengthened through T6 heat treatment, it offers improved hardness and mechanical properties compared to T5 temper.
This medium-strength alloy is widely used in architectural profiles, door and window systems, curtain walls, and decorative applications where both aesthetics and durability are essential.
Key Features
Excellent surface quality ideal for anodizing
Enhanced strength with T6 heat treatment
High resistance to atmospheric corrosion
Outstanding extrudability for complex profiles
Applications
Architectural aluminum profiles
Door and window frames
Curtain wall systems
Interior design and furniture components
Heat sinks and general structural uses
6063 T5 vs T6
Compared to T5, the T6 temper undergoes solution heat treatment and artificial aging, resulting in higher strength and hardness. While 6061-T6 offers greater strength, 6063-T6 stands out with better surface quality and extrusion performance.
